What are the Top Direct Selling Companies for 2012?
Where can you make money fast?
BusinessForHome.org, the leading authority for MLM and Direct Selling Companies Worldwide made a short list of the top Direct Selling Companies for 2012, based on the Top Earner rankings, Leadership, Momentum, Growth, Revenue, Conventions, Alexa Ratings, International Presence, Facebook presence, and Interviews with MLM VIP’s.
This list of the Top Direct Selling Companies for 2012 is a good measuring stick if you are looking at starting a home based business. In case you haven’t noticed yet, there is soooo much junk out there to be perfectly honest, and you need to be careful when you decide to start your home based business that you don’t fall prey to some of the following….
- Undercapitalization – Many MLM or Direct Selling Companies fail because they are undercapitalized and the owners are looking to make a quick buck with very little strategy or business plan involved.
- Unique Product – There are so many “me-too” products out there in the Direct Selling world and many people have already been approached by the same tired products. Many start up Juice Companies, or Nutritional Companies just don’t have a compelling story that people haven’t heard before. In order to have success in Direct Selling, you don’t have to have the best product, but it needs to be unique and offer a good value to the end user.
- Professional Website – It amazes me that almost weekly I get approached by someone wanting me to join their Gas Club of the month club, and the corporate website is just…well…awful! This should be a huge red flag to anyone looking for a legitimate home based business. If the company didn’t spend any money on the site, or make it user friendly, it’s not going to attract the kind of individual that is really looking for a solid opportunity.
- Window of Opportunity or Timing – You’ll notice that Amway is on this list, and it is still the Granddaddy of all the Direct Selling Companies. I for one would not choose Amway as my main opportunity because so many people have been exposed to the opportunity. It’s best to choose a company that is at least 2-5 years old so you can see how their management company is going to hold up. Older companies are fine, but make sure the market is still there or they have Global Reach which of course lends to future growth.
These are just some of the factors considered when ranking the top Direct Selling Companies for 2012. The companies on this list all meet this criteria, so it’s a good indicator that you’re safe to join any of them. Consider your passions, and choose based on what you enjoy or a product that is inline with what you’re already doing.
If your company is not listed and you want to nominate your company, leave a comment below. Please put in facts and figures, not hype.
We like to receive facts such as: Company Revenue, Growth rates, Number of active distributors, open countries, leadership, ect.
Is below list the ultimate truth? No, there are thousands of opportunities in the direct selling world and this is a “living list”, however the listed companies do have something special: Growth, Momentum, Products, Leadership and often a global presence.
We encourage you to do your own “Due Diligence”.

There is actually 21 but I really like this list for a variety of reasons. If you’re unsure about whether or not you’re choosing a solid company, this should help you narrow it down. There are all kinds of different products to choose from as well because no one company speaks for everyone. Do what you enjoy and you’ll never work a day in your life!
I do hope you find your perfect fit, and if I can do anything to help, please let me know. Have your best day ever!
